CHRISTOVAL, TEXAS-The Running of the BULL was held in Eldorado for several years but outgrew Eldorado and the organizers took a respite for a few years.  In 2013 the San Antonio Express News named it as one of ten things out of staters should do when they came to Texas.  It has been decided to revive ROTB in Christoval.  It is always held shortly after the running of the bulls in  Spain.   But at our event entrants get on stage and “run their mouth with a bunch of bull.”  It is very laid back and unrehearsed with everything from cowboy poets, cloggers dressed as heifer, singers, musicians, etc.  Basically anything goes.  We have had everything from national champion cowboy poets to people who were so bad they were hilarious.  We had over 5000 attendees at the last one and with the closer proximty to San Angelo which, of course has more citizens and more hotels, we expect more as the event regrows.  There is no fee and vendors always do well.  .
